We have an educational opportunity for you to share with school districts in your county. The National Association of Counties (NACo), in partnership with iCivics, has created activities and games to teach students about the important work of county government. The content is free and geared toward students in grades from elementary to high school.

Included with the content are:

Counties Work – During this educational game, students become county judges who are trying to connect as many of their residents as possible to county services or risk losing the public’s trust. Players can develop a local community and make important budgeting decisions while trying to solve crises that pop up along the way.

County Government Activity Book – In this workbook, students can learn about their county, fill in information about local county officials and learn more about what they do.

Resources for Counties – There are multiple resources for counties, including templated informational handouts that you can use to share with your county’s school districts.
