The 49th Annual County Treasurers’ Continuing Education Seminar will be held April 19-22 at the Embassy Suites by Hilton San Marcos Hotel, Conference Center & Spa.
This year’s event will feature the most recent and relevant information needed for county treasurers and assistant treasurers to enhance their knowledge base. Topics include the Public Information Act, an overview of the debt issuance process and legislative updates. Participants will hear about the request for proposal process, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook and Texas demographic characteristics and trends in relation to counties and regions of the state.
New this year is a mini-conference on leadership for an additional fee on April 19; it will feature a talk by leadership expert and former Marine Corps officer Jim Bearden. Covered topics include myths that limit success, the mental side of leadership and steps leaders can take to elicit wanted behaviors.
The registration fee is $205.
